MODCOMP and SolarFuel sign Letter of Intent

Cologne, November 22, 2011 SolarFuel, a global provider for chemical storage solutions, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with IT services provider MODCOMP.

MODCOMP, leading in cloud-based technology and service concepts, will provide a complete IT-as-a-Service solution consisting of hardware, software and required services on a monthly consumption-based fee.

SolarFuel, currently regarded as one of the most innovative companies in converting renewable electricity into synthetic natural gas, has recently received high attention for a large-scale project converting green electricity surpluses into renewable methane.  Now the Stuttgart-based company has confirmed with the signing of the LOI their intention to appoint MODCOMP with the comprehensive support of their total IT environment.

„We want to act for SolarFuel as an external IT department, which provides a modern and efficient IT infrastructure for the company,” Wolfgang Schlegel, IT expert from MODCOMP in Cologne, said. „We will support every Solar Fuel employee with all required devices, applications and services for his role in the company, integrated in a transparent cloud infrastructure. The individual IT requirements are the focus of our technical offering and billing.*

„It is important for us that the IT supports us in our individual working style, at the same time we want to fully concentrate on our core tasks“, explains SolarFuel CFO Dr. Karl Maria Grünauer. Therefore we really appreciate the all-inclusive offer from MODCOMP.  MODCOMP’s deep experience and expertise with cloud solutions makes them an ideal partner for us.”
